*Beyonce and Madonna have been added to the star-studded lineup of Friday’s multi-network “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon.

A statement released Thursday said Beyonce would join her husband Jay-Z in London, and Madonna will perform from New York City.

The list of musical performers already includes Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Maxwell, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Keith Urban. Also among the participants: Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and former President Bill Clinton.

The two-hour telethon will be shown on all the major networks and a host of other channels

Separately, a televised benefit for Haiti will take place in Canada Friday with some of the country’s biggest celebrities, including Celine Dion, James Cameron and Michael J. Fox.

Film stars who will participate in Friday night’s “Canada for Haiti” benefit include Jason Reitman, Ryan Reynolds, William Shatner, Rachelle Lefevre, Joshua Jackson, Pamela Anderson, Eugene Levy, Norman Jewison, Will Arnett and Sandra Oh, reports the AP.

Musicians Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan, Barenaked Ladies, Simple Plan and David Foster will also participate, as will Canadian athletes Wayne Gretzky and Steve Nash.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Gov. Gen. Michaelle Jean will be on hand with special messages for Canadians.
