*The Census Bureau send you the packet yet? You know the one where they ask you 99 questions about everyone living in your household.
Well, in case you didn’t get it, the questionnaire has one question on it that asks are you black, African American or NEGRO.
Now, some people are pissed and are voicing their opinions on the controversial moniker.
The Census Bureau said that it used the term in 2000 and it was okay. They said that older people prefer the term “negro” and they identify with it because they used it in their “day.” Others say, well if we’re going to use antiquated terminology to make everyone comfortable, why didn’t they add “colored” to the list?
