*Simon Cowell’s star-studded charity single for Haiti got its first radio spin on Tuesday.
The track, a cover of REM’s “Everybody Hurts,” features Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams and Susan Boyle, among others, and will go on sale next weekend to raise money for the victims of the January 12 earthquake. (Scroll down to listen.)
Other stars lending their voices to REM’s 1993 hit include Leona Lewis, JLS, Westlife and Joe McElderry, who won the last series of Cowell’s British talent show “The X Factor.”
The single, recorded in London and in Los Angeles, will be available for download beginning Feb. 7 and in record stores on Feb. 8. The British government said it will waive sales tax on purchases of the song.
Money raised will be divided between Britain’s Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which has raised millions for Haiti victims, and the Helping Haiti campaign by the Sun newspaper.
