* has alerted its members of the next move in Republican attempts to fight health care reform: robocalls.

“Starting today, voters in 40 Democratic House districts will receive robocalls that paint health care reform as a ‘dangerous’ and ‘out-of-control’ ‘scheme’—just one part of a new all-out assault on health reform from the GOP,” wrote the organization’s Kat Barr in an e-mail blast seeking donations.

MoveOn is attempting to raise $200,000 immediately to counter the GOP’s Hail Mary attack, dubbed “Project Code Red.”

“We’ve come too far to let Republicans kill health care in the homestretch. We have to fight back—so we’re launching a final push to finish health care reform now,” Barr wrote. “Our goal is to raise $200,000 in the next 24 hours.”

Barr says the GOP is planning to “unleash attack ads, misleading robocalls, and a right-wing physicians front group in an effort to scare some Democrats away from voting for health care. We’ve got less than a month left to win historic reform that American families, workers, and businesses so desperately need.”
