*Drake has been the talk of all Hip-Hop blogs, magazines, websites, especially these days with the release of his dynamic album, which took the no.1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
In fact, considering the state of the music industry, his album did so well, it earned the best first week numbers for a Hip-Hop artist in 2010.
He sold over 447,000 copies of “Thank Me Later” in the first week.
Singersroom.com reports that Sade’s “Soldier of Love” and Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” both of which sold over 450,000 copies as well (Sade sold over 500,000 first week), Drake’s “Thank Me Later” tops recent releases from Ludacris, Usher, and Christina Aguilera.
Drake wrote on his Twitter page Tuesday night: “Thank you for the support … thank you for the memories … thank me later.”
