*Michael Henderson, former bass guitarist for the legendary Miles Davis, is suing rapper Snoop Dogg for allegedly illegally sampling one of his songs.

Snoop’s hit, “Drop It Like It’s Hot” supposedly features parts of Henderson’s “Riding” track from “Flashbacks.”

According to aceshowbiz.com, Henderson claims that the rapper also unlawfully
incorporate his music on another song, “Hands on the Wheel,” which was allegedly used to boost interest and ticket sales in the rap superstar’s West Fest tour in June, 2008.

Warzone’s members, Goldie Loc, Kam and MC Eiht, have been named in the copyright infringement lawsuit, along with Snoop and his bosses at Universal Records.

But that’s not all. Henderson is also suing for unfair competition and unjust enrichment. He is seeking unspecified damages and is seeking to have the trial be heard by a jury in Michigan.
