*Rapper Foxy Brown has rejected a plea deal and decided to fight charges of violating a court order stemming from a confrontation with her neighbor in New York City, reports the AP.
Her lawyer, Salvatore Strazullo, refused to accept a plea deal in the case during a court hearing Tuesday. Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, said: “We will fight this.”
Justice John Walsh set a Feb. 7 trial date. Brown faces one year in prison on a misdemeanor charge of violating the protection order.
The rap star was arrested in July for violating a restraining order after screaming at neighbor Arlene Raymond before bending over, baring her buttocks and showing her underwear while shouting an obscenity. The two had been in an earlier dispute over Brown blasting her car stereo outside their Brooklyn building.
Here’s how the New York Post described Foxy’s Tuesday court appearance…
With her prodigious cleavage bursting from a skintight black mini-dress, rapper Foxy Brown today swore to defend herself vigorously against a charge she violated a court order by mooning her neighbor.
Resplendent in a midnight green velvet jacket and tan Louis Vuitton alligator stilettos, Brown appeared in Brooklyn Supreme Court to set a trial date for a single misdemeanor count of contempt of court.
…Outside court, Brown smiled warmly as she showed off her curvy figure, Vuitton handbag and lilac fingernails, but refused to answer further questions.
“I’m dying to talk but my lawyer said not to,” she said.
