*Uncle Sam is going after someone new this year – Kelly Rowland. The former Destiny’s Child singer owes $98,634 in back taxes.
The government filed a lien against her on Nov. 8, according to the Detroit News. Rowland now joins the list of music stars the government is after, including Toni Braxton, Omarion and Snoop Dogg, among others.
Since Destiny’s Child break-up, Rowland, 29, has been having some tough times with her career and obviously her finances.
She also recently cut ties with Beyonce’s father and longtime manager, Mathew Knowles.
“Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career,” she said in a statement. “I have had great success under his guidance – both as a member of Destiny’s Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family.”
Her third studio album, titled ‘Kelly Rowland,’ which includes the single ‘Forever and a Day,’ is due in stores next year.
