*The Atlanta Urban League will celebrate 90 years of serving the metro Atlanta community with its 49th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Dinner featuring rhythm and blues vocalist Regina Belle.

The dinner will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m. at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and will honor those who demonstrate a commitment to bettering the community through initiatives and exemplary service which advance equal opportunity in metro Atlanta.

This year’s dinner is chaired by Deborah Thomas, Atlanta Urban League Board Member and Vice President of Human Resources for Cox Media Group. Jovita Moore, news anchor and reporter for WSB-TV’s Channel 2 Action News, will serve as the mistress of ceremonies.

Former Atlanta Urban League President Lyndon A. Wade is among the 2010 honorees and will be presented with the Legacy Award. Additional 2010 Equal Opportunity Day Dinner honorees include Dr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Lowery, State Farm Insurance Company, Lucy Hall-Gainer of Mary Hall Freedom House, Inc. and Jae Brown of the Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals.
