Reality star Kim Kardashian launches signature watch collection with The Brissmor Company

I was honored to be invited to the launch party of reality television’s Kim Kardashian for her Brissmor Signature Watch Collection held recently at The Whisper Lounge at The Grove in Los Angeles. The Brissmor Company is a black owned company who, together with Kim, designed the watch.

Media outlets from seemingly from all over the world were on hand to cover the event. The closer it came to her arrival the larger the pool of media grew. As she stepped out of a four wheeler, as cameras’ flashed, cars and pedestrians all stop to watch her take the media red carpet walk into the lounge.

Kim was sweet and patient as she took the time to address all the media. I do believe if she wasn’t pulled away, at the last minute, I would have gotten a chance to interview her as well. Her answers were frank and direct and I give her kudos for not skirting-around any questions about her personal life, which had nothing to do with the watch collection.

The Kim Kardashian Signature Watch has two limited high-end elite watches with 8 karats of VVS1 diamonds and Swiss Movement. The watch will be available online and at major retailers globally sometime in the first quarter of 2011.

The Brissmor Company was established in 2008 and is located in Beverly Hills, California (and Nassau, Bahamas). Their watches are made with genuine leather, traditional gold, white gold, rose gold stainless steel, conflict free diamonds, Swarovski Crystals, Mother of Pearl, and other high quality materials. All of Brissmor watches feature Swiss or Japanese movements.

New duo Twoche’ is in touch with the old and new school on self-titled debut CD

Twoche' (Butch and Bricktop)

I was invited to see the performance of a new duo, Twoche’, consisting of Butch Dubarri and Bricktop Freeman, recently in Los Angeles. I totally enjoyed their performance and not only did they offer the crowd good music, good vocals and some tight dance moves, but member Butch kept the crowd going with his pleasant and funny personality.

Both Butch and Bricktop vocals were a perfect match. Bricktop, the tenor and Butch, the male alto gave us perfect harmony. The CD is full of selections that brings back the reminiscent of the old school doo-wop sound, but with a modern twist – resulting in a fresh new sound.

Twoche’ is currently promoting their debut CD with spot dates at clubs and lounges across the west coast corridor. The “Twoche’” CD is produced and written by the duo through their company Lonesome Music Productions.

You will totally enjoy the CD and be pleasantly surprise at the depth of their talent. For more information on Twoche’ log onto their website at
