*According to Page Six, former “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell met with Nicki Minaj and is considering her to be a part of the American version of his hit British show, “The X Factor.”
“Nicki has a large following and she fits well with the ethos of the show, which plans to usher in a new generation of musical talent,” a source explained. “‘X Factor’ is aiming for a younger audience. Those aged 12 and over can audition, and [the English version has] launched successful artists from other genres of music than pop.”
Cowell figured she’d be a perfect fit for the show because of her personality.
“Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic,” the source revealed. “She’s sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality.”
But all of this is just talk right now. No final contract or details have been finalized.
Other celebs on the list include former Def Jam CEO and Chairman L.A. Reid.
In other Nicki Minaj news, according to bossip.com, the Queens-born rapper is supposedly a top choice for a role in the film adaptation of “Charge It to The Game,” a best-selling novel by Michele A. Fletcher.
