*Let’s be honest.
Most Americans are not thinking people.
Many of the people who still think, barely do so, often allowing others to dictate their thoughts or to simply think for them.
And because they do not think for themselves, they are easily led down a road to diminishing sophistication and the deterioration of socialization and civility.
It’s not a very long road either. People who have little thought processing typically move from thought to action without any filters or hesitation. This is why knee-jerk reaction is the order of the day.
And because we are no longer demanding that our citizens be thinking people, they react like children, wanting instant gratification and throwing tantrums when it doesn’t come. It is the reason why adults are overly sexual with no attention to consequences and the reason why simple-minded reality shows fare well with the overabundance of simple-minded people.
Failing to demand that people think has caused squishy-brained men to resort to extreme sports and violence in a flash. It has even caused females to behave in crass ways that we formerly discouraged for men.
And without such a demand, lazy morons use Wikipedia as research, and so challenge great thinkers with inadequate information that has been pulled from the nether regions of idiots.
People can easily pose as thinking, caring people, particularly with the Internet and it’s aura of enlightenment, but really, many of us know that most people are stupid and mean, posing as something they are unwilling to work on becoming, and so will never be because everything around them has become broken and dead.
At the end of the day, this is an ugly world. This is a world that is callous, crass, unenlightened and mean spirited, where people will attack other people simply to make themselves feel and/or look better. And then people wonder why someone can write as eloquently as I do, but still curse people out when they are being jackasses.
In this age of un-enlightenment, cursing someone out and dismissing them is the only method of garnering peace from angry idiots who do not deal in courtesy and respect nothing short of being slammed verbally or physically.
Common courtesy is no longer common.
Excuse me. Pardon me. Thank you. The opening of doors. We’ve lost all of that, replacing it with crass behavior while pretending to be sophisticated. And why not? Much of today’s media outlets are dumbed down and tacitly encouraging people to avoid thinking.
Sad, but the Information Age is merely a time of an overabundance of information that most people have no idea how to process.
Everybody has a blog, but nothing to talk about.
Instead of applied knowledge, people regurgitate misinformation and phrases that they’ve heard too many times and get emotionally attached to the phrases in discussions they are ill equipped for, using the phrases by rote in place of understanding.
Have a blessed day. Real talk. Down low. Reverse racism. Sexism. Middle class. Relationship expert. Independent woman. Revolutionary. You the man. Make it rain. Keep it real.
Overused phrases that no longer carry the meaning they could have held in a society where ignorance isn’t even bliss, but is pretentious as it pretends to not be ignorance.
This detachment from knowledge includes religion, particularly because most Christians have never read the Bible, but rely on the preacher to (mis)interpret and deliver (mis)understanding. How else could a religion based on a man who loved everyone be used to hatefully separate people-in his name no less?
And it is separating us. Before America, religion brought people together. But the bastardized form in this nation is designed to separate.
Culturally and socially, things are eroding and falling apart.
The economy is falling apart and the housing market was a significant sign.
When you study structures, there are necessary outcomes.
If you set up a specific social dynamic, you will get a specific result.
In this so-called democracy, for example, theoretically, there is supposed to be something to hinge everything on, but there is no substance to this system. The democracy side is all rhetoric and theory-it can only be actualized under certain circumstances, but as it is, it only creates classism, racism, materialism and debauchery. It’s been slowly falling apart since we got off the gold system.
Ultimately, every system has its Achilles heel-its inherent contradictions which will ultimately bring down it to its demise.
And we’ve seen this throughout history, from the Romans to the Egyptians.
We have reached the point of overproduction and underconsumption.
Take a look at McDonald’s and the Dollar Menu. Why is food suddenly cheaper? Everything else is rising, but food is now cheaper than it was years ago.
There are not enough jobs and not enough demand for the services that exist, even though morons still tell young people to go to college and get a job.
Historically, we can track where we are.
When you get to the end phase, you see the wildness. And we are wild-girls gone wild, hoes wanting the respect of ladies, violence passing as sport and broke people making it rain.
We’re headed to a third world existence. While people can’t conceive of it happening here, it can and it will. People can’t see it because they are so focused on pretending to better than the next person.
But the US will be no different from the vacation spots where there are the ultra rich and the people who cannot eat and no one in between.
And this is much different from the apocalyptic predictions of the short-sighted who imagine that society will be destroyed and that chaos will reign.
The one thing I understand clearly is that this nation can only fall so far before the unavoidable and constant discomfort forces the people to take action to overhaul the system and force it to work differently. There will simply be too many people in pain.
Change only requires one thing, which American Sheep will have to eventually re-learn. One simple action that will change the game and change the nature of the game:
