*A Los Angeles judge has delayed the manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray, just a week before it was set to begin.
Murray’s lawyers filed an official request to postpone the case on Friday in a bid to land more time to counter the prosecution team’s newly disclosed experts.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor granted the defense team’s wish and today pushed back the trial for a second time, citing the “need for fundamental fairness.”
The trial, which was originally scheduled to begin in March, is now set to start in September.
Dr. Murray has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter relating to Michael Jackson’s 2009 death from a Propofol overdose.
