*Well, well, well. Look who’s got a serious jones for Condoleeza Rice. None other than Libya’s fugitive strongman Moammar Gahdafi.
Yep, it seems that opposition fighters digging through Gahdafi’s compound in Tripoli found a bizarre photo album filled with pictures of the former secretary of state. (See one of the photos below.)
Keep in mind that Rice and Gahdafi are not strangers – the two shared an intimate, late-night dinner together three years ago, as Gahdafi broke the Ramadan fast.
“The strong scent of incense hung heavy in the air,” wrote The Washington Post in September 2008. “His [Gahdafi’s] face lit up when he saw Rice. … Gahdafi simply placed his right hand over his chest, a traditional and respectful welcome.”
In an interview with Al Jazeera in 2007, Gahdafi confessed his feelings Rice:
“I support my darling black African woman,” he said. “I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders … Leezza, Leezza, Leezza. … I love her very much. I admire her and I’m proud of her because she’s a black woman of African origin.”
Obviously Ms. Rice has got some serious whip appeal when comes to world leaders. Yes, she does. Politico.com points out that Gahdafi isn’t the only world leader who’s got a thang for Condi. Former Canadian Foreign Minister Peter McKay was rumored to have fallen under her spell as well as former British Foreign Minister Jack Straw and former Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D’Alema, according to The New York Times.
