*Raven Symone was among the big winners at the 2011 NAACP Theatre Awards this week in Los Angeles.

The star of ABC Family’s new show “The Great State of Georgia” accepted the Spirit Award, given to an individual who brings energy, tenacity, innovation, commitment, talent, and of course, spirit, to the theater scene.

The 25-year-old actress starred in the play “Father’s Day” this year with Rosie Perez and Andre Royo.

The biggest honor of the night went to Diahann Carroll, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
