For the past ten years she has written a feature column called Veronica’s View that appeared in the Los Angeles Sentinel and now on Lee Bailey’s Electronic Urban Report (www.eurweb.com).
Four years ago when a doctor diagnosed her with high blood pressure it was the beginning of a new chapter she had to write.
Guided by determination, she began blending a little this and that and developed a flavorful mix of over 20 ingredients she calls Red Velvet Gourmet Spice Rub and Seasoning. Right away she began finding creative uses for this new blend of over 20 ingredients in an array of recipes from everyday classics to novel dishes – all crowd tested and even kid approved.
“Red Velvet Gourmet Spice Rub and Seasoning is mildly spicy, a little savory, has a touch of velvety sweetness and is a bit sassy- just like me,” Hendrix said.
Those recipes are now in a new book by the author called Red Velvet Gourmet Rub and Seasoning: Heart Healthy Recipes. The author will be appearing at Simply Wholesome Health Food Store and Restaurant for a book launch and special sample tasting of recipes made with the product:
