*Writer-actor-comedian Larry Wilmore will co-star opposite Mike Vogel in Fox’s “Living Loaded,” a single-camera comedy pilot from the “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” duo of Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell and FX Prods, reports Deadline.com.

Based on the book of the same name by Dan Dunn, “Living Loaded” centers on Dan (Vogel), the loose partying blogger of the popular Living Loaded blog who is forced to change his career plans when he becomes an NPR radio host.

Wilmore will play Leonard, a thoughtful and reserved black intellectual whose dream of hosting his own NPR show is crushed when Dan is brought in as his co-host.

Also cast in “Living Loaded” are Anna Maria Horsford as a painfully shy NPR executive and Kaitlyn Black as Esther. They join Vogel, Wilmore and recently cast Donald Sutherland.

The pilot gig will not interfere with Wilmore’s duties as “senior black correspondent” on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” where his most recent segment was on the Jeremy Lin mania. [Scroll down to watch.]

Additionally, Wilmore is prepping a comedy special for Showtime.

On the writing side, “The Bernie Mac Show” creator Wilmore recently penned a comedy script for CBS that was eyed as potential starring vehicle for Martin Lawrence. The network is yet to make a pickup decision on a Lawrence-fronted pilot.
