*To create buzz surrounding his 2012 MTV Video Music Awards hosting gig, Kevin Hart teamed up with entertainment’s hottest couple – Kanye West and Kim Kardashian – to film a promo video for the show.

In the clip, [scroll down to watch], Hart comes up with nicknames for the three of them (“I’m talking about Kevye Kim,” he says, proudly) much to the disdain of West and Kardashian.

Hart appeared on the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, but wasn’t considered the host despite performing a monologue during the telecast. His concert documentary “Laugh at My Pain,” released last September, earned almost $8 million despite a limited release, and he’s appeared in Hollywood films like “The Five-Year Engagement” and “Think Like a Man.” Hart also booked a role opposite Seth Rogen in an untitled buddy cop comedy.

The MTV Video Music Awards air on Sept. 6. Alicia Keys and One Direction are scheduled to perform.
