*Last week after the second debate, Mitt Romney’s oldest son Tagg, went on a radio show and told the host what he’s like to do to President Obama for having the nerve to tell his daddy that he wasn’t telling the truth.
“I wanted to jump out of my seat and … rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him,” Tagg, 42, said to North Carolina radio host Bill LuMaye.
“But you know you can’t do that because, well, first, because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because this is the nature of the process,” Tagg went on to say. “They’re going to do everything they can do to try to make my dad into someone he’s not. We signed up for it. We’ve gotta kinda sit there and take our punches and then send them right back the other way.”
Naturally, the comments raised eyebrows and were satirized on Saturday Night Live.
And of course anyone with a brain knew he just talking ish to begin with. But it’s talking ish and disrespect on the highest level.
The bottom line is that after the 3rd debate, when he did have his chance to “take a swing,” instead he did the right thing and apparently apologized to President Obama, who being the gracious man he is, accepted it.
