*The trial run of Kris Jenner’s daytime talk show ends Friday with an appearance by the reclusive father of her new grandbaby.
As previously reported, Kanye West will sit down with his possible future mother-in-law to discuss his relationship with her daughter Kim Kardashian and their newborn daughter North West.
It’s also rumored that North will make her public debut on the show.
“‘Everyone knows you don’t like paparazzi. Why would you be with this person?'” West said he’s been asked, referring to his decision to date Kardashian. “I’m being with this person because I love this person, and she’s worth it to me.”
The rapper says his romance with Kardashian and the birth of North in July gave him a newfound sense of motivation after his mother passed away in 2007.
“After I lost my mother, there was times I felt like I would put my life at risk,” West tells Jenner. “I felt like sometimes I didn’t have something to live for, and now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for.”
He also addresses President Obama’s comments last month about how celebrities like Kanye and Kim have shifted the idea of the American dream. “There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous,” the president said at the time. “Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”
Kris airs on select Fox stations, including in New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas.
