*It’s all fun and games until a stripper sends you home bleeding profusely.
This is reportedly what happened to Baltimore Ravens wide receiver and “Dancing With the Stars” season 16 standout Jacoby Jones, who according to TMZ, suffered his second bizarre injury of the NFL season.
In Baltimore’s Week 1 defeat to Denver, Jones suffered a knee injury when his teammate collided with him during a punt return. He hasn’t played since, but it hasn’t stopped his play time off the field.
According to TMZ, Jones was on a party bus in Washington D.C celebrating teammate Bryant McKinnie’s birthday when a stripper named Sweet Pea allegedly threw a bottle of champagne at his head. Sources say that at about 3 a.m., as people were leaving Opera Ultra Lounge, people on the bus began fighting. In addition to teammates, at least one stripper was on board. One eyewitness said he saw a bottle being swung at Jacoby Jones — it connected with his head and hurt him. An ambulance was called “for a bleeding male” but he was not taken to the hospital.
TMZ cites sources who claim a stripper named Sweet Pea is the one who hit Jacoby with a gigantic Ace of Spades bottle and this may have triggered the brawl. The bottle reportedly smashed over his head and he was “bleeding everywhere.”
We’re told Jacoby’s friends tried to retaliate against Sweet Pea but Bryant McKinnie tried to stop him, and a fight broke out between the friend and Bryant.
Police responded to the scene but no arrests were made. According to sources, there was evidence of an assault but no one cooperated with cops.
Jones’ agent, Kennard McGuire, told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun that Jones is “fine.”
Jones’ coach, meanwhile, is livid about the whole situation.
In a press conference, John Harbaugh said the fight was, “Not something we wanna be known for. Not something those guys wanna be known for.”
Harbaugh said all the players involved were at practice Monday, and they all got chewed out. Coach says he told them, “What do you wanna be known for? You wanna be known as a football player or you wanna be known for that?
He added, “Nothing good happens after midnight.”
