*If there aren’t already one million reasons to love W Hotels, we’ve got another for you. Can someone say “good cause?”
W Hotels has partnered with New York based charity:water foundation to help bring impoverished communities around the world clean, fresh water.
On Thursday (today) Sept. 12 at the W Hotel French Quarter location in New Orleans, guests, Starwood fans, and those who care about the effort will gather for the Waterwalk event where participants will walk a custom runway carrying 40-pound yellow jerry cans in solidarity with those who have to walk hours for fresh water in Orissa, India.
Those who complete the walk, which is 24 feet long, will receive two complimentary cocktails by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and will be entered to win a two-night stay at the W French Quarter. Also, live performances include Mia Borders and Stooges Brass Band.
To participate is completely free. The W will donate $45 for each person that completes the walk. Each donation will provide clean drinking water to an individual in Orissa, India for the rest of his or her life.
