*Stevie Wonder is the latest soul-drenched artist to be recruited by Daft Punk.
The Motown legend will join the French electronic music duo ffor a performance at the Grammy Awards on Jan. 26. Rolling Stone reports that this will be Daft Punk’s first televised gig since 2008, when they performed “Stronger” with Kanye West at that year’s music award ceremony.
Daft Punk collaborated with Chic mastermind Nile Rodgers for their album latest “Random Access Memories” and its two hit singles “Lucky” feat. Pharrell and “Lose Yourself to Dance”
The duo has been nominated for four awards this year, including album of the year and best pop/group performance for “Get Lucky.”
Ken Ehrlich, the Grammys’ executive producer, told Rolling Stone in a recent interview that the awards show would feature “a collaborative and celebratory stage performance that honors [Daft Punk’s] multi-nominated music.”
