terrell owens & rachel snider

Terrell Owens and Rachel Snider

*Dang, he actually went and did it. Terrell Owens is now among the ranks of the married.

Owens, 40, who had a noted NFL career followed by a stint as a reality TV star, married Rachel Snider, a postal worker, in a secret courthouse ceremony this past week.

The couple pretty much kept its relationship on the down low before springing it on the public out of the blue. We found out because the bride, Rachel Snider, 33, announced the engagement on Facebook earlier this last week.

RadarOnline says there was just one witness to the nuptials and Mr. and Mrs Owens wore matching blue outfits. Although he has 4 children with four separate women, this is Owens’ first marriage.

Based on what we saw from his intervention with Iyanla Vanzant, he seems like he’s ready to change for the better. We wish him and his bride the very best.

richard sherman*The highs and lows that come with being Richard Sherman has reared its head again.

Sherman, the controversial Seattle Seahawks cornerback was fined $7,875 for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting in the final minute of the NFC championship game against San Francisco.

No, the fine is not for the now infamous interview he did after his game saving deflection of a pass thrown to San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Nope, it’s not the interview that scared the crap out of a some white folks and pissed off a bunch of others to the point where they’re referring to him as a “thug.” Hell,  he’s even being called the N-word.

No sir, none of that. Richard Sherman is being fined for making a choking gesture at the 49ers bench that he said was directed at quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Sherman’s deflection of the pass to Crabtree and interception by linebacker Malcolm Smith, clinched Seattle’s 23-17 victory.

Sherman ran over and after tapping Crabtree on the backside and extended his hand for a handshake. Crabtree then shoved Sherman in the face. The All-Pro cornerback then made the choking gesture.

Sherman was the only player fined in the game.
