*Linzie Gray entered last year’s CBS diversity showcase, landed representation, and is now about to star in her first feature.
She’s been cast in the Blumhouse Productions, IM Global, and Dimension Films horror pic “Viral,” reports Deadline.com. She’ll play Gracie, the best friend of Emma (Sofia Black-D’Elia) who starts exhibiting symptoms when a deadly virus starts making its way around town.
Analeigh Tipton also stars in the pic directed by “Catfish” and “Paranormal Activity 3” and “4” helmers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost from a script by Barbara Marshall and rewrite by “Disturbia’s” Christopher Landon.
The CBS Diversity Institute Talent Showcases are in their seventh year and are attended by senior level CBS Entertainment executives, as well as showrunners and casting directors from series on CBS as well as other networks and high level talent agents.
To date, across all categories, 289 actors have appeared in the CBS Diversity Talent Showcases and as a direct result there have been 1690 auditions and from those auditions actors have landed 460 roles.
