*Prosecutors on Thursday dismissed four counts of harassment against an obsessed fan of Ashanti, reports the New York Daily News.
Devar Hurd was indicted on 14 counts of criminal contempt, stalking and aggravated harassment in July for allegedly sending the R&B singer sexually explicit messages on Twitter.
The 35-year-old appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City on Thursday, and prosecutors dismissed four counts of second-degree aggravated harassment against him.
He still faces 10 counts, including felony stalking. Hurd pleaded not guilty to the charges last year.
