*As we reported last week, Sherri Shepherd (“The View”) and her husband of less than three years have called it quits. And now, according to People.com, Sally is fighting for custody over their unborn child, who was conceived via surrogate.
Lamar Sally filed for legal separation from his wife on May 2 through L.A. Superior Court. According to court documents, the pair is expecting a baby boy on July 28, and Sally is requesting full legal and physical custody, and asking that Shepherd only gets “reasonable” visitation rights. To be on the safe side, Sally has requested an order to prevent Shepherd from getting in the way of him being given the child.
The rumor mill went crazy once word hit about the separation, with “sources” claiming to be close to Shepherd saying that the TV host was getting tired of her husband being unemployed; so its not a good look that he actually wants spousal support from Shepherd; wants her to pay his attorney fees and has requested that their pre-nup be annulled due to fraud.
This is the second divorce for Shepherd, who was married to Jeff Tarpley for eight years, but divorced him in 2009 after she learned he was having an affair.
