*During an interview with Complex magazine, Pharrell Williams  revealed he’s no longer rapping.

You see, according to Williams, his newfound status as a husband and father, coupled with being older, was a factor for not spitting any rhymes on his newest album, GIRL.

“No rapping. It’s focused,” Williams told Complex, while admitting he still has a passion for rapping. “That’s the difference between 30 and 40. ’Cause I was 30, now I’m 40—and I’m not rapping.”

The GIRL album was released on March 3 through Williams’ label i Am Other and Columbia Records.

The lead single of Girl is the Academy Award-nominated song “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. The album contains appearances by Kelly Osbourne, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Miley Cyrus, Daft Punk, JoJo, Alicia Keys, Tori Kelly and Leah LaBelle.[
