According to Williams, NeNe isn’t pleased with the current direction of the hit reality show.
“She has a problem with where the whole show is going. Last season was really dark,” Williams shared with Rickey Smiley on his radio show. “She said that she feels like it’s changed.”
Williams’ response comes after NeNe tweeted last week about not continuing in a job that’s no longer enjoyable. The message set off various reactions from fans, who believe the tweet may be a sign that NeNe may quit.
NeNe’s comment came as news surfaced about Williams being demoted to a “friend” on “RHOA” rather than a full-time cast member.
“I feel like if anything, it’s probably mutual,” Porsha said regarding talk about NeNe not coming back to the show.
Since the tweet, NeNe has been active. The former “Dancing with the Stars” competitor was spotted at an NBC event with her “RHOA” co-star Kandi Burruss and Bravo executive Andy Cohen. NeNe’s status as the last remaining original “RHOA” cast member and arguably the show’s nucleus is not lost on Williams. However, she doesn’t believe NeNe’s departure would result in “RHOA” falling apart.
“She would definitely be missed, but would the show go on? I think it would just because it’s an ensemble cast,” said Williams, who added that the ladies of “RHOA” ladies don’t need to tear each other down.
