*There’s nothing quite like an artist’s debut.

Spike Lee‘s debut film was 1985’s “She’s Gotta Have It” and now the film is being turned into a Showtime series.

Nearly 30 years later, the series will modernly explore issues and topics focused on race, gender, sexuality, relationships, and the gentrification in Brooklyn.

Lee will write and direct the half-hour series now in Showtime’s development.

*After his debut in 2012 with “Unexpected Arrival,” Diggy Simmons is finally back with new music.

Simmons dropped his smooth new song, “My Girl” featuring crooner Trevor Jackson.

Check out Simmons all grown up — making the statement he can treat a woman better than her last man.
