dave chappelle

*Dave Chappelle is not hitting the stage alone. He’s bringing some of R&B/soul/hip hop’s best artists along for the ride.

Chappelle recruited the talents of The Roots, Janelle Monáe, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes and DJ Premier with a full orchestra to help him out with his stand-up comedy.

June 24 through June 26, Chapelle and a string of performers will perform at Radio City Music Hall.

This isn’t the first time Chappelle combined his love for stand-up comedy with music. He did so in 2004 with his “Block Party” performance.

The original party featured Kanye West, Badu and Common as musical guests.

A documentary of “Block Party” was shot in Brooklyn.

On June 24, The Roots will open the party on its first night with Chappelle.

Monae, DJ Premier and Busta Rhymes will kick it with Chappelle on the second night.

And Badu is closing the party with Chapelle on its third and final night.

Tickets go on sale Monday, June 2 via Ticketmaster. The shows are promoted by Live Nation.
