Media sources report that Dr. Dre has purchased the four-acre estate for $40 million. Features for the property include a winding driveway, a cobblestone motor court and moat/koi pond designed by architect Richard Landry.
The 18,298 square foot house itself boasts reclaimed ceiling beams, salvaged tile and antique doors as well as a center hall, a den, a library/study, a gym, a sauna, five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, loggias, covered terraces, balconies, garage space and seven fireplaces.
The grounds on the property are irrigated by a gray-water system and includes sexpanses of lawn, gardens, waterfalls, ponds, an infinity pool and pathways. Electricity for the residence is supplied by solar panels.
The property, which had been listed at $50 million, was bought by Brady in 2008 for $11.75 million.
