*EURweb correspondent Kymm Thornton caught up with “Basketball Wives: LA” alum Gloria Barnes at Friday’s “For Our Girls of Nigeria” benefit concert hosted by Tyrese Gibson.
As previously reported, the event at the Los Angeles One of A Kind nightclub was to raise awareness of the 276 schoolgirls kidnapped from Nigeria’s Government Secondary School by terrorist group, Boko Haram.
Gloria, who attended the event with her husband, LA Clippers player Matt Barnes, said she “could never imagine [not] knowing where my child is and not being able to rescue them.”
The mother of 4-year-old twin boys Isaiah and Carter has been busy behind the camera producing a number of film and television projects since leaving VH1’s “Basketball Wives: LA” in 2012, and says she’s “not in a hurry to get back into reality shows.”
Watch Gloria’s entire “Kickin’ It With Kymm’ interview below, followed by her husband, Matt, who talks about the recent purchase of the Clippers for $2 billion by Steve Ballmer.
Proceeds from the “For Our Girls of Nigeria” concert went to UNICEF’s programs to assist in the protection of children in the country.
