*It hasn’t even been 24 hours since we reported the demise of legendary R&B/gospel singer Bobby Womack when the sad news of the impending death of actor Meshach Taylor comes to fore.
Taylor, 67, is best known for his breakout and scene stealing role as Anthony Bouvier on the hit show “Designing Women.”
Actually some outlets have already reported his passing. However, as of this posting, Taylor had not transitioned, according to his son, Tyriq:
“For all the people that have given premature condolences: don’t feel bad. I am happy to feel the love,” said Tyriq. “My Dad has not passed just yet, but he has begun to actively transition. Thanks again everyone for your kind words during this tough time.”
Initially, word of the “Designing Women” actor’s impending death was posted by family members who asked for everyone’s prayers in a Facebook post:
It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic, Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend has begun his grand transition. Our friends who know and love us, please offer your prayers for his peace and blazing light as he ascends to the heavens. Those who need to call the family please do. The cause of Taylor’s terminal illness has not been divulged.
