*Sir Mix-A-Lot dug up his 1992 classic “Baby Got Back” and performed it with the Seattle Symphony Friday, as a bevy of women from the audience – mostly “Beckys” – joined him on stage to dance. [Scroll down to watch.]

The symphony arranged the performance with the Seattle native as part of its third annual “Sonic Evolution project” that commissions composers to write orchestral arrangements of popular songs with a Seattle connection.

In addition to his ode to cakes, Sir Mix-A-Lot also performed his other hit, “Posse on Broadway.” Both were orchestrated by Gabriel Prokofiev. The symphony was led by Ludovic Morlot, whom Sir-Mix-A-Lot referred to as “the shiznit.”

“Something you really should not do but since tonight is orchestral movements from the ‘hood night, I’m going to leave some of this open if a couple of ladies would like to get up on stage,” he says in the video right before the performance. “I don’t touch. We will not bite unless you want us to.”
