*Here’s the latest on the Tracy Morgan New Jersey highway accident situation.
According to reports, a truck driver has been charged by authorities in the crash that left the actor and comedian injured and killed another comic.
That comedian, James McNair, was known by his stage name Jimmy Mack, was killed when the limo bus he and Morgan were riding in crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Kevin Roper, 35, of Jonesboro, Georgia has been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed into the limo bus carrying the comedians and others, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
Morgan, who starred on NBC’s “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” along with three others from the bus were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Mercedes-Benz limo bus carrying Morgan and six others was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Roper near Cranbury Township, New Jersey at about 1am Saturday morning.
