*(Hollywood) – Legendary music arranger and producer H.B. Barnum appeared on ActorsE Chat today with host Ron Brewington.

Barnum talked about his early beginnings as a child actor in television and radio, starting at the age of 4-years-old.

Born in Houston, TX, in 1936, Barnum also discussed changing his acting career to the recording industry as a singer with a doo-wop group, The Dootones, and then later joining another doo-wop group, The Robins.

Other discussions included: The point where Barnum’s singing career became outpaced by his work as an arranger and producer; working with an extraordinary cross spectrum of performers, including Lou Rawls, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, The Supremes, The Temptations, Etta James and many, many more; starting an annual Thanksgiving Day dinner for homeless persons in the Los Angeles community; forming and directing the H.B. Barnum Life Choir – a large, well-known gospel group that has traveled and performed all over the globe; and other related subjects.
