*Yes, his approval ratings are down, but when a child wishes you were someone else entirely, that’s a new low…if it weren’t so cute.

In honor of Sept. 11, POTUS and FLOTUS visited an elementary school in D.C. Thursday to participate in the National Day of Service.

When the President was placed next to sixth grader Madison, the girl confided that she had hoped the secret VIP stopping by her classroom would be Blue Ivy’s mom.

“I really wanted it to be Beyoncé,” she told President Obama.

“Malia and Sasha would feel the same way,” the President told her amid laughter.

Madison then tried to walk it back, saying, “But then I realized it was going to be you and that’s even better.”

Obama smiled but called her bluff.

“I appreciate you saying that in front of the press,” he told her. “I know it’s not really true.”

“I’d rather see Beyoncé,” Michelle Obama chimed in.
