Alfonso Ribeiro Gets Top Score On DWTS Premiere*Season 19 of “Dancing With the Stars” has barely begun and Alfonso Ribeiro has already put his fellow competitors on notice that he’s the man to beat.

The former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star raised more than a few eyebrows Monday as he and dance partner Witney Carson impressed the judges and the crowd with the night’s top score of 36.

“A beautiful routine. That was, without question, the best dance of the night!” said resident tough judge Len Goodman, who wasn’t the only one handing out compliments to the duo.

Apparently, new judge Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli felt the same way as Bruno renamed Ribeiro’s classic show in honor of the entertainer.

“The Prince of Bel-Air? You’re the King of the night!” Bruno proclaimed.

While he owned the night with a jive dance routine, Ribeiro couldn’t resist leading viewers on with acting like he was going to do the “Carlton” dance he’s best known for on “Fresh Prince.” Ribeiro did start out attempting the “Carlton” but he ended up shaking his head before the cameras cut to his actual routine.

Looking backstage at rehearsal, the pair appeared to be motivated towards fulfilling individual goals on the way to emerging with the mirror ball. For Ribeiro, the main objective was losing weight, while Carson’s main motivation was simply to win.

Rounding out the top three couples for the night were Mark Ballas and Sadie Robertson, who placed second with a score of 34 and Val Chmerkovskiy and Janel Parrish, who finished with 29.
