*CeeLo Green took to Facebook last night to apologize for his recent comments on Twitter regarding rape.
“I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter,” he wrote. “Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.”
He also tweeted the apology message that he posted on Facebook. But the Internet is already zeroing in on his phrase “attributed to me,” which appears to some that he is still avoiding responsibility.
Green, facing a felony charge for supplying ecstasy to a woman in 2012, changed his plea from not guilty to no contest on August 29th. Two days later, he posted a series of tweets contesting the definition of rape. He later deleted his Twitter account before reinstating it.
As previously reported, CeeLo’s TBS reality series “CeeLo Green’s The Good Life” was canceled this week.
