*He may have been sidelined briefly for suffering a migraine, but Kanye West is back to his old self after coming down on two fans who were unable to stand up for him because they were handicapped.
The Daily Mail reports that Yeezy was performing at Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, Australia on Friday when he noticed two audience members who remained seated. It was then the rapper refused to continue performing and started putting the audience members on blast.
“I can’t do this show until everybody stand up,” West said. “Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and sh*t. Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.”
One of fans held up a prosthetic limb, which resulted in West saying the person was “fine.” The show resumed, but was later halted again when the entertainer stopped his song “Good Life” upon noticing another seated concertgoer.
“This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable,” West said before sending a bodyguard into the stands to ensure the individual was in a wheelchair.
Once he got confirmation, the rapper/producer continued his performance.
Judging by fan reaction to his insensitive treatment of the handicapped fans, West struck a sour note on his latest tour stop.
“Just remembered Kanye telling 2 kids in a wheelchair to stand up for an uncomfortably long amount of time,” one person in the audience tweeted. “That sucked.”
“Oh….they ARE in a wheelchair?? PLAY THE SONG,” posted another audience member.
