*When he’s not busy hosting “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” or writing a book about manhood…
Terry Crews is busy being THE man on the set of his Fox series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
The show about a police precinct full of colorful cops has been as much of a hit among viewers as it is with critics. Crews, who plays Terry Jeffords, credits the writers for delivering such an unconventional take on the typical cop show.
“It’s one of those things where we know what the police procedural is. You kind of get it. You watch so many episodes of ‘Law & Order’ and so many cop shows over the years – from ‘Barnaby Jones’ all the way to ‘Barney Miller’ – but [‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’] has this new dynamic because you’ve never seen it quite like us and everyone brings their own thing,” Crews tells us. “I think the writers have done a wonderful job of putting our own personalities into each character.”
