*The president of the National Association of Black Journalists had to clarify some things after Bill Cosby recently suggested that he expects the “black media” to give him a break.

On Friday, Cosby broke his silence over recent sexual assault allegations by telling a Page Six reporter, “Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”

TMZ hit up NABJ president Bob Butler, who countered: “You don’t go easier on a person with color. This is not a color issue, this is a journalism issue. Black people happen to be reporters.”
