*It was previously announced that Rihanna would launch her very own line of weed called “MaRihanna,” but her rep has squashed your celebrity-branded stoner dreamers with a firm denial of that.
As Pop Crush reports, Rihanna’s publicist responded to The Cut‘s e-mail inquiry about MaRihanna, which would have followed similar weed peddling efforts by Snoop Dogg, who recently launched his Leafs By Snoop strain.
Rihanna has documented her love for Mary Jane many times over on her Instagram account, and the original reports on the specific strains of MaRihanna included Karibbean Kush, Haitian Haze and Jamaican High Grade. Of her stoner delights, Rihanna allegedly said, “MaRihanna by Rihanna is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and proud to be a pioneer. MaRihanna is blazing a trail for the industry.”
Rihanna’s MaRihanna was going to be available for purchase in states where the sale of marijuana is legal — Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska, Now, stoners will have to settle on strains named after Girls Scout Cookies or President Obama – yes they exit. Meanwhile, weed lover Willie Nelson is set to release a line called Willie’s Reserve.
In related news, RiRi has been prepping the release of her long-awaited eighth studio album “Anti” all year – with the rumor mill turning out whispers that a potential release date might be Nov. 27 on TIDAL and then onto digital and retailers on Dec. 4, reports MTV.
