*Toya Wright is not letting criticism of her decision to give her estranged husband Mickey “Memphitz” Wright eight days out of the year to do just about anything he wants with anybody get her riled up.
News of the hall pass situation surfaced on an episode of Bravo’s “Untying the Knot” that aired Sunday (Nov. 8). In response to the reaction over news of the episode, Wright put her critics on blast while stating that that people don’t really know her life–and that many put up with far worse for far less.
The reality TV star continued talking about the situation on social media as she took to Twitter after the episode aired to express how unhappy she was about what happened and claim that producers cut her full response to Memphitz’s revelation about his eight hall passes.
During an appearance on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Wright proceeded to set the record straight on the hall passes and her relationship with Memphitz, saying that she and Memphitz are in the process of getting a divorce and have been separated for almost nine months. As a result she told the show that her and Memphitz are “moving in two different directions.”
As for the reason behind the hall passes, Wright said, “As far as the hall pass thing goes, I felt like I was already at the friend zone with Mickey.
“We were moving in two totally different directions, so go ‘head! Do what you do. That’s what you wanna do. Because guess what? My focus is on my businesses, and my No. 1 priority is my daughter. You can’t get it together and it’s so much going on, I’m not about to be bothered with that. And let me set the record straight: That stuff never came about when things was all good.”
Overall, Wright stated that “She’s not trying to keep no man that don’t want to be with her.”
As the interview progressed, Wright touched on things that didn’t help their relationship as she reiterated that Memphitz was pressed for years about the fact that he didn’t get to “defend himself” against abuse allegations coming from K. Michelle on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.”
“I really didn’t think it was a good look…I felt like that would be going backwards to go on the show and go back and forth with your ex,” Wright said. “He has been holding that over my head. He blames me for it.”
Speaking of K. Michelle, it looks like she’s been watching Memphitz on the show and had a humorous comment about her ex on Twitter that she posted on Sunday.

??God is good. Never question his timing and his lessons. What you want isn’t always what you need. The test brings testimony. Dodged a bullet. Ladies never force anything because you never know what God has planned. God gave me lessons to teach and songs to sing. The woman I used to be was fragile with extremely low self esteem. The GROWN Woman I am now knows her worth. I can truly appreciate the GROWN man in my life now, because I know the definition of a lame?
