*The hottest ticket on Broadway is headed to Chicago.
The critically-acclaimed “Hamilton,” a hip-hop musical about the life of Alexander Hamilton, will begin a long-term run in the Windy City beginning Sept. 27, 2016.
Creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda features an ensemble of young actors from all racial backgrounds playing America’s founding fathers. Miranda stars as Hamilton, the Founding Father who figured prominently in the creation and ratification of the United States Constitution and creator of the nation’s financial system.
Casting for the Chicago run has yet to be determined, but Miranda is not expected to be in the cast.
Tickets are not yet on sale and will be announced at a later date.
