*Hundreds gathered at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, Dec. 2 in support of Ebony Magazine’s 30th Annual Power 100 List Gala presented by Nationwide.
Among celebrities honored this year included Prince, Russell Westbrook, Drake, Loretta Lynch, Trevor Noah and Viola Davis.
The issues magazine cover was graced with the faces of Zendaya, Harry Belafonte and Jesse Williams. Red carpet attendees included Arsenio Hall, Loretta Devine, Jidenna, Amber Stevens and Tommy Davidson.
With Christmas right around the corner, EURweb associate Kiki Ayers hit the red carpet to find out what’s on everyone’s Christmas wish list this year.
“I want another healthy year,” said Davidson. “I want to be able to continue to do what I’m doing and help others.”
Devine and Williams also didn’t ask for anything materialistic as they both were looking forward to spending more time with their families. Devine expressed that she had a large family and loved to be with her mother while Williams wanted to spend more time with the wife and kids.
“I just wish I get through Christmas because I have like 75, maybe 80 or 90 now, (because they keep having babies,) people in my family,” Loretta laughed. “I love the week or 2 I get to go back to Houston Texas, throw down, eat good and be up under my momma.”
Williams explained that with his hectic work schedule he’s always checking emails and plugged into his phone. His ideal Christmas would be “resting and chilling.” He went on to say that he would “love to be on a beach somewhere.”
It’s no shock that many young girls will have the infamous Zendaya barbie that was inspired by her 2015 Oscar’s look but what’s on the 19 year-old’s wish list is nothing to be played with, work.
“I just want to get stuff done because I’m a procrastinator. I’m not going to lie” said Zendaya. “I think all teenagers can relate.”
