*The 58th annual Grammy Awards are less than two months away, but the show will be in familiar hands.
On Wednesday (Dec. 16), The Recording Academy revealed that LL Cool J will return to host the annual event for the fifth consecutive year. According to Recording Academy President Neil Portnow, the rapper-actor’s personality and energy set the perfect tone for the show.
The Grammy Awards will air live on CBS Feb. 15 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The former “106 & Park” co-host announced his decision to leave the show on-air Tuesday evening(Dec. 15) with a touching message to fans and his crew at the E! network. According to Terrence J, leaving “E! News” stems from a desire to pursue acting and producing full-time, E! Online reports.
The TV personality’s departure from “E! News” comes after sharing co-anchor duties with Giuliana Rancic and later Maria Menounos while covering the latest celebrity news for three years. Although Terrance J leaving E! News may surprise some people, he hinted at future plans involving a new professional direction during an interview with Jet in June.
After appearing in movies such as “Think Like a Man,” “Think Like a Man Too” and “Baggage Claim” as well as a small screen stint on BET’s “The Game,” Terrence J’s acting career is firmly established.
