*(Los Angeles, CA) – Actress Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer (aka Ava Gold) has landed the role of Cha-Cha on FOX/Paramount’s rendition of Grease, airing live at the end of the month.
Gonzalez will be in the musical along with other stars such as Mario Lopez, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessie J, Carly Rae Jepsen, Keke Palmer, and Carlos Pena. Gonzalez is excited about her role and states:
“Growing up, I loved watching “Grease!” It is such a classic and timeless film, and having the opportunity to be a part of this new version is really incredible.”
Gonzalez also starred in the Emmy Award winning show The Fresh Beat Band as Kiki, in the animated series The Fresh Beat Band of Spies as Kiki, and as Gina Mendes on Criminal Minds. This talented actress has received two Imagen Nominations for Best Actress on a Television series.
Grease Live will be airing Sunday, January 31st, 2016 on FOX.
Gonzalez is not only an actress, but also a singer stylizing in melodic, captivating, and Latin-styled music. She has performed along sides with Justin Beiber, Ne-Yo, Jason Mraz, Gloria Estefan, and many others. Gonzalez’s hit single “Classy,” was featured all summer long on ESPN. She is signed with BGM Publishing and is currently working on her self-titled EP to be released this year.
