Accordind to Jet, plans are in motion for Universal to release a vinyl collection of Gaye’s work titled “Marvin 1971-1981.” Included with the set will be each of Gaye’s solo records, which will be compiled into one 180 gram reissue package.
“Marvin 1971-1981,” whish can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon, will be released on May 27.
As music fans get set for the Marvin Gaye vinyl set, Lex Scott Davis will get set to return to the small screen as part of CBS’ upcoming pilot based on the movie “Training Day.
Citing Deadline, Jet reports that Davis, who played Toni Braxton in the Lifetime biopic “Unbreak My Heart” biopic, will join the cast of the pilot, which picks up 15 years after the “Training Day” movie.
The pilot will focus on Kyle Craig, a young African-American officer who is dealing with his new partner assignment with a much more seasoned cop, who will be played by Bill Paxton. Davis will play Kyle’s wife, Alyse Arrendondo, a history teacher who adores her husband.
